Halloween Special: Saturday, 31 October
When the candles flicker and the moon rises over Scotts Road, Carousel trades its daylight charm for something a little more mysterious.
For one night only, our Halal-certified buffet transforms into a candlelit gothic manor. Executive Chef Darren Ong and the Carousel culinary team have conjured an east-meets-west spread across four haunted counters: a Japanese izakaya hidden in the shadows, a seafood bar raised from the deep, a Western manor of hearty comfort classics and a wicked sweet laboratory of patisserie.
Expect beautifully crafted dishes with a playful, spine-tingling twist. Temari sushi with personality, oysters served in coffins, risotto in a whole pumpkin and desserts that look almost too sinister to eat. It is Halloween done with taste: more candlelight and velvet than cobwebs and plastic fangs, and made to be shared by grown-ups and little ghouls alike.
One day only
Dracula's Oyster Coffin
Fresh oysters, beetroot mignonette, black ice
Plump, freshly shucked oysters rest on a bed of black ice inside a candlelit coffin, each one crowned with a jewel-red beetroot mignonette. Briny, bright and just a little bit theatrical, it is the dish that sets the tone for the evening.
Rise from the coffin to the rest of the Haunted Deep, where Vampire Bloody Prawns, Medusa's Octopus Garden and Coffin Gravlax Crostini await.
