Maybe I'm easily impressed, but there were no fewer than a dozen helpful, uniformed, cheerful staff-members standing attentively in the lobby at all times. From the concierge to the valet, any and all of them were ready with great tips, suggestions, and directions. This goes a long way for a first-time visitor to Singapore.

The breakfast was AWESOME! I lost track of how many different cuisines were available for Asian, European, and American tastes.

Location was superb, rooms were beautiful and clean, amenities were above par, and the rooftop pool was the perfect place to relax before hitting the sidewalks for people-watching.

Great location to Orchard Road and shops with the MRT just around the corner. Good price with very comfy beds and clean rooms. Yummy buffet breakfast with something for everyone. Also over the road are some eating places and you can turn out of the hotel and visit a massive duty free shop. Good to check prices, but I think the airport is cheaper especially cosmetics.

Although some of the hotel public areas and corridors are a bit dated don't let this fool you. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and fitted out with free mini bar, espresso coffee makers and WiFi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool is open 24 hrs and the location was fabulous- just off the overly busy Orchard Road. Second time in a year that I have chosen the Royal Plaza and would come back again.

This hotel will meet your every need and the price is a bonus.its situation is in the heart of the tourist area and every venue is within a short taxi ride. Everything about Singapore screams high prices but this hotel bulks the system. Great place great staff, will I go back? Would I recommend it? Without a doubt.

RP has good staffs, they are did a good job by providing extra miles service to customer. Room is clean, staff are helpful and friendly, RP has good system that all staff could work effectively. We were recommended to stay at your hotel through a business colleague who always stays with you for the convenience of accessing local activities. We were on a cruise ship and upon arrival at your hotel met two other cruise guests who also booked into your hotel. Ease of requesting king bed. Confidence of knowing immediately of availability. Portage and friendly hotel staff, homely,clean. Buffet Breakfast clean and of excellent quality.

I usually stayed at the Royal Plaza when I travel to Singapore for business since 2004 with preference at the Executive Floor and what can you say to a place like the Royal Plaza when at you arrival at the front desk staff greet you with warm welcome like…Welcome Mr. Santos again to your home in Singapore...just Priceless

Good location in Orchard Road and is located within 5 to 10 minutes walk to Orchard MRT station. The stay there was also pleasant although it was a short stay for me. Will definitely stay there again the next time.

Superb service! All the staff members (from housekeeping to restaurant workers/wait staff, to front desk) were super helpful, and went the extra mile to cater to my needs.  The breakfast was delicious. Location is perfect. Spacious rooms. Good value for what you get.The complimentary mini-bar with cookies was a great idea! Made me feel at home.

if you are planning to go shopping around orchard then Royal Plaza on Scott would be the best place to be, considering the rate, safety, comfort and the location... furthermore i can easily locate many muslim restaurants nearby especially in far east plaza just opposite the RP.
