My husband surprised me with a night's stay on 15 Feb, as a post-valentine's celebration. I was impressed with the room and its facilities, such as the tv channels, bed, minibar, etc. I had a wonderful stay. Definitely will recommend to friends, and will definitely come back.

Rooms are lovely and the service very good. All the staff in the Executive Club Lounge were very helpful and polite. My only suggestion regarding the room would be to put better lighting in the bathroom as it is very dark.
In booklet in room, fuller explanations on most things would be helpful. For instance, there was no explanation of how the restaurant 'worked' and, as this was our first visit it began confusingly.
more diverse in-house menu is recommended. The Hotel is perfect and satisfying; definitely recommend to all my friends.
We were looking for a ironing board but to no avail. Called housekeeping for one. Three staff followed the call and kept telling us that it can be found in the closet. We have looked all over and ensured them that there was none. When house keeping came she seached the whole room to look for the ironing board (without even asking for permission, seemed as if we were lying) but still to no avail. Suggestion: Do check the coutesy of your staff. Overall it was a good stay.
When I checked in I asked that the breakfast buffet (25 SGD per day) be removed from my reservation. The Lady at check-in seemed annoyed that I asked her to make this change and only discounted the room by 20 (SGD). This poor service is not in keeping with my overall experience during my several stays over the last 12 months. I will still return to your hotel and recommend it to friends and colleagues.
I had to stay one extra night since I got the flu and could not fly home.Booking an extra night was a bit strange since I could not book direct with reception ,but had to book via internet.
I have stayed at RP two to three times a year for the past several years. It would be nice to have some type of "Loyalty" program or upgrade program for returning customers.thank you,david byck

I travelled extensively to SE Asia. I pleasantly surprise to find a "hidden gem". Royal Plaza is exeptional. No nonsense internet access and mini bar pricing. The internet access speed is great. The room and bathroom is spotless. The housekeeping service to make the room up is very timely and swift.Keep up the good job!
Access charges for MCI, Sprint, etc phone card access seems excessive and kind of cheesey. Your staff is excellent.... friendly, helpful, well trained.
I realise that the location of the hotel pushes prices up, but I have to say that the price of the restaurant buffet breakfast is, at over S$30 over the top. The price of a pint of Tiger (brewed in Singapore) at the bar is also excessive. Both of these services are important to the average guest, I would suggest, and I cannot believe that could not be substantially cheaper - and still profitable to the hotel. Having seen the price of a pint away from Orchard road only confirms my view. Both venues are very handy, but I used them only once over my stay, rather than every day. Other than that I enjoyed my time with you and will likely be back.This form demands an answer on internet access - I did not use it but had to put in an answer.....

1) Staff could not find my Expedia reservation2) Staff over-charged my credit card on check out resulting in a long crediting process3) GYM facilities are inadequate for this caliber of Hotel. Perhaps a better arrangement with an outside gym would be aceptable.
For 230 S$ the breakfast should have been included in the package.

Hotel Ãƒ fuir : qualitÃƒÂ© de la nourriture mÃƒÂ©diocre, aucun service Ãƒ la piscine, le service de landry incapable de livrer les vÃƒÂªtements dans la bonne chambre, un de nos amis qui se retrouve dans une chambre "boite de nuit"... Des points positifs cependant : le personnel d'ÃƒÂ©tage fort aimable et compÃƒÂ©tent mais insuffisant pour rattraper un management gÃƒÂ©nÃƒÂ©ral digne d'un hotel de seconde zone.
