The security department of Royal Plaza on Scotts plays a major role in crime prevention and detection by maintaining a close relationship with the police force. Heading the team is Allan Lim, the Security Manager who has vast experience with the police taskforce for more than 25 years.

The hotel plays an active role by attending monthly meetings organized by the e-hotel network. Comprising 20 hotel representatives, they come together to actively share with one another on the challenges, problems and incidents faced by their respective hotels and discuss on solutions too. Using this network, they are able to disseminate information effectively and speedily.

The installation of 110 closed circuit televisions (CCTVs) in the hotel premise which cost S$80,000 has also helped us in our visual surveillance to monitor all rooms, spaces, corridors and activities to detect suspicious characters.
