This was my second stay at the Royal Plaza on Scotts, and I will always stay there when I return to Singapore. Great value for a great price!
I enjoyed my stay and thought the staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly. However the room service meal that I ordered gave me mild food poisoning, and considering that my stay in Singapore was a stop over on my way home to Sydney, it made the flight home very uncomfortable and unpleasant. I have emailed in regards to this issue previously and have failed to recieve any response. I am surprised considering that during my stay staff were very attentive.
Front line staff told us breakfast timing till 1030am, but it is in fact 10am. We arrived at breakfast venue at 9:55am just in time to grab a bite from the leftovers.
Definitely my place of choice for my monthly short business trips.
The breakfast need to have more varieties
There was a lack of information in the room. Nothing about Singapore. No telephone book. No writing paper or envelopes. Should there have been?
Hello,Our stay was wonderful. Everyone on the staff was friendly and attentive to detail. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was well prepared and the service was very good.The only concern that I had is that the original room rate I booked the room for was not honored. I was told about this change in rate at the time of check-in, however, I had just gotten into Singapore from a 20+ hour journey, which left me in no condition to discuss it rationally. If a reservation is made at a certain rate, then it should be honored at that rate.Thanks,Toralee
This hotel was wonderful and the great deal we got on it (188.00 Singapore) was unbeatable for what we got. I'm definitely staying there again when in Singapore!

there was not a clock in the room ,would be helpful for early risers
The change of fresh bed sheets on alternate days is acceptable, but a fresh sets of towels every day is really a must. Thank you.
would have liked a top sheet and blanket, the doona was too warm. A very enjoyalbe stay.
Can you have your rooms lit brighter. As it is very dark and veru dificult to see and to put on make up. Tks.
Staff had minimal ability to guide guests on getting bus service out of Singapore to Malaysia. Guest ended up going to concierge at Marriott across the street, who helped us more. The Marriott concierge offered not only instructions on how to get to Golden Mile and how to buy a ticket, but thoughts about alternative transportation (taxi, limo) and advice about which bus services might be the best ones. He even made 3 calls to us to bus companies checking out detail. Spent 1/2 hour with us. Your staff was friendly but not knowledgeable and not offering of more time and calls, etc. An American tourist who doesn't know what to do needs more attention/knowledge than you seem to be trained to give right now.

The hotel. ammenities and service was fine, so I have not marked the survey down for that reason its mainly due to the value for money aspect and the cost of 4 nights in your hotel which amounted to Ã‚Â£764.00 which is far to expensive.I appreciate some of this is down to the current exchange rate, however we had better value from other hotels in Asia during our recent 3 week holiday.Regards
your staff should be more familiar with how to advise a person on taking a bus to Melacca. one staff person told me that Golden Mile was near Chinatown on the map. No staff people knew much about the bus company brands and which do express vs. local, etc. It took me several hours to get bus arrangements made. I finally went to the marriot hotel across the street and their consierge knew much more, and made calls for me
I got problem about keycards. the good thing is staff on the front desk was helpful by sending someone to check on the door. I really appreciate about that but it still didn't work.I reserve executive suite, it's good that I could change to deluxe for other 2 nights. However, at the executive , yr hotel didn't prepare towels for three people. When I wanna change from executive to deluxe , itÃ‚ï¿½s quite troublesome bcoz different staff said different things. One said I could put my stuff in the room until 6 pm. When I asked to change the room at noon, another said the deluxe room was not ready. Then, if I went out, the staff said I could move when I was ready. Later, your staff kept calling to tell me to move in the afternoon. I requested two rooms that were connected. I moved in a little late. This type of room was gone. staff changed the room number again. I had to tell hotel staff over and over again about the type of bed whenever I talked to.
Reservation accuracy was not well, I changed through email some things in my reservation. Received a confirmation that those changed will be noted in my reservation, but finally they did not went through after I checked in.
Marriott has offered us special weekend rates at 2 nights for 268. I am afraid that we cannot continue if RPS rates continue to stay high. It has been a pleasure staying at RPS, you have been our only Hotel in Singapore since 1991!
